The Food Brigade is pleased to announce the newest member of our Board of Trustees: JENNIFER NELSON. Jen is a past Vice President of Network Relations at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, where she helped expand The Food Brigade's operations through CFBNJ's grantmaking initiatives. She brings over a decade of nonprofit leadership experience in food insecurity and equity work, along with deep knowledge of food bank operations, partnerships, and community engagement. Jen is founder and principal of Strategic Roots, LLC, where she combines her engineering mindset with her nonprofit experience, offering a data-driven, relationship-focused approach to tackling challenges and driving sustainable growth. Jen's background in strategic planning and evaluation will help The Food Brigade strengthen our impact and ensure that our programs continue to serve families with dignity and compassion.
Jen is the second past executive of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey to join the ranks of The Food Brigade's Board of Trustees.
