Our President and co-founder, Karen DeMarco, has been chosen as a recipient of the Daily Point of Light Award for her volunteer service work with The Food Brigade. The Points of Light Foundation was founded by President George H.W. Bush, who in his inaugural address invoked the vision of a "thousand points of light" and invited the nation to serve their fellow citizens. In 1990, President Bush created the Daily Point of Light Award for individuals making a difference.
