CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CO-FOUNDER! The Food Brigade is pleased to announce that our co-founder and president, Karen DeMarco, has been chosen as a winner of the National Association of Realtors® "Good Neighbor Award"! As a result, The Food Brigade will receive a donation of $10,000.00 from the NAR at its national convention in Anaheim, CA in November.
There are over 3 million active real estate agents in the U.S., and 1.6 million of those agents are Realtors®. Out of all of those, the National Association of Realtors® awarded the "Good Neighbor Award" to five individuals nationwide, including our own Karen DeMarco, for her work in the area of hunger relief and food security.
In addition, Karen was a winner of the NAR's nationwide "Web Choice Favorites" voting, for which our organization will receive another $1,250.00, for a total of $11,250.00 toward the work of The Food Brigade. Congratulations, Karen, and thank you for the public support and the national and state recognition you inspire for The Food Brigade!
