On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, The Food Brigade's Clifton facility was visited by students from the Academy of Holy Angels in Demarest. They learned about the problem of food insecurity from our President, Karen DeMarco, and about the problem of homelessness from Nathan King of the City of Clifton's Social Services. The students assembled emergency snack packs, made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, dated canned food items, and more. The sandwiches were immediately distributed to our unhoused neighbors in Clifton, and the snack packs are being distributed in Clifton, Paterson, and Newark. Thank you to the staff and students of Holy Angels for joining us in the fight against hunger in our area!
